Brothers & Sisters,
Today was one of those rare days in which you’re met with blessings around every corner. For me, at the end of these days when everything seems to fall into place perfectly, I often take the time to sit back and reflect and give thanks for all that this day has been. See the thing is some of you might not even know the effect you have on my life much like I do not see the impact I might have on yours. That’s a beautiful mystery that I ponder quite a bit. The idea of how we affect people daily has been a theme on this site quite a bit throughout the past year.
I believe that it’s essential for us to take the time to stop and think about where we are with our lives sometimes and to acknowledge the fact that we wouldn’t be here without the people around us. We cannot do this thing called life on our own and whether we realize it or not the fabric of people that we weave around us is most important. The humility to know and understand that we’re all part of a much larger cog and it takes all of us to keep moving is something we’re all learning each and every day. If we slow down our lives just enough perhaps we can start to see how our actions cause ripples across many lives and not just our own.
Whether you’re my vocations director, my pastor, someone who comes to my prayer group, a friend, a family member, a fellow employee or someone who reads this site you’ve managed to touch my life in such a way that you might not ever understand. But if you’re reading this now know that you have my thanks, I pray for you every day and that I wish the best for you in all that you do. One of the critical things for me is that you understand that you are so loved and that I appreciate the fact that you’ve been placed in my life and on my path more than these words could ever tell you.
