You can have it all

You can have it all

The truth does not change according to our ability to stomach it.

Brothers & Sisters,

So you have faith huh? Is that it though? Is that all you need to guarantee your spot in heaven when your time comes? Faith is an excellent first step, but we've got many more on our journey. You see, we need to not only believe in Him but also align our lives to follow Him. You can have it all my friends as long as it's wholly directed down the proper path.

Always keep in mind that it was for us that Jesus sacrificed himself. Why would we want to put someone through that agony again? Wasn't once enough? Once was far too much if you ask me and I don't want to be the one to see Him back upon that cross. Could you stand at Calvary, look upon Him and not feel the overwhelming weight of what the human race had done? Probably not. Even now just thinking about it I can feel the crushing pressure of our sin placing Him on the cross. I wonder what went through the Roman soldier's minds when they realized what they had done. We know from scripture that they acknowledge Him but only at the time that he died. I wonder at what point before that they started to turn the corner on the horrible crime that was just perpetrated.

So let that be our lesson. We're all sinners and while it is true that He died for our sins, let us do our level best each day to live in the light of His love, not turn our backs on Him and spread that love where ever we possibly can. That's what He wanted and still wants from us, who are we to deny that? We can always turn back and be forgiven, but perhaps we're better off not even having to exercise that option in the first place.

Yours,
Jeff
