You are good to me

I think of the people in my life and how good they continue to be to me. I can only hope that I return that gift in some way, shape, or form for you. Know that you are always in my prayers and I wish you success in whatever you do and am always there to help brush you off when you fall.

Gone, Gone, Gone.

Time is not a renewable resource for us. From the very moment of our birth, we have been dying and time has been the enormous wave slowly creeping towards the shore, only to crash and dissipate at the end. Before you know it, you will be asking yourself where the days, months, and years went and the answer remains the same. Time was always there; you just took it for granted.

Consider for a Moment

I would like to think that as we progress in life and enter the later stages of it, we begin to look back on how we lived our lives. Whether you want to admit it or not I would also venture to guess that we think of how we are going to be remembered. It is hard not to. I do not believe you can think of your past without considering how it is going to affect the future, even a future that does not include you within it.

The majority of my prayer lately has been centered around God's love for us. I look around and see how broken we can be as humans and find myself asking how He could love us even when we turn our backs on Him? Almost immediately I find myself with the feeling of gratitude washing over me. The more I pray on it, the more I am sure that He saved me last year. Much like my father did when I was a child He put his foot down and let me know that He had had enough of my crap.

Happy Holidays

I would like to wish you and your family a joyous holiday season. It is my hope that you can find it in your hearts and minds to slow down even just a little bit and appreciate everything that is around you over the next few days. Observe the smiles, the twinkling of a child’s eye as they open their gifts, and enjoy a hug from a loved one just a couple seconds longer.

It's not about the presents

I was out to dinner with my parents, brother and sister-in-law last night and we got to talking about Christmas gifts and what people wanted and the question eventually made it’s way to me (I tried my hardest to dodge it) and the only real thing I could come up with was, nothing. Truth be told Christmas, even when I was a young boy was never about the presents. I always felt a deep desire to just be with my family, friends and loved ones that day. Nothing else mattered to me other than that.

Make Your Move

You have spent more than enough time trying to untangle the spaghetti that is your thoughts and dreams. It is about time that you start making decisions and moving forward with your life. Enough of the chit-chat, make your move. Might it be the wrong move? Absolutely. But it also could be the best wrong move you ever made. And that is something important to realize.

I want you to be extraordinary

I've been thinking about this post all day, attempting to unwrap my thoughts and present something that isn't a complete mashup of stuff to you my dear readers. It should come as no surprise to you that I'm probably the biggest cheerleader you never knew you had in your life. But for argument's sake let's break this down a bit more.

Love never fails.

Love, faith & hope are the three pillars of my life. Without them I'd be nothing and with them I have everything I need. I value these three things more than anything in my life.  Beyond my family I'm not sure I ever really loved God in the way I was meant to. At least not the way I do now, that's for sure.
